My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Completing my GMAT while working.

About me: I was originally a law graduate from the University of Sussex, but my career took a different turn after I had to provide for my family immediately after university. As a sales consultant for a telecommunications firm, I made the most of every opportunity I could, especially through my keen interest in strategy decisions and building efficient communications channels. Through this, I discovered how mergers and acquisitions are positively influencing the future and how the diligent work of financial advisors was crucial to pushing society forwards.

The endless potential for improving the lives of others is what drove me to completing an Applied Finance diploma in 2024. Having built upon and demonstrated my ability to complete detailed financial analysis and impactful presentations, I decided to attend the MiM programme at London Business School to obtain a more complete business education. I feel that this will best prepare me for a career in mergers and acquisitions.

LBS is a place where I feel accepted and recognised for my unconventional background, where my experiences help me to influence educational and personal conversations and where I have all the support that I need to succeed.

Three topics I can be approached about: Scholarships; commuting to London; life as a UK student.
