Haritos Giannakos

Education: Bachelors, University of Bath, UK; graduated in 2026

Subject: Politics with Economics

Sector(s) of interest: Investment Banking (M&A and Leveraged Finance), Private Equity, Private Credit

My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Trying collect all the information from the people I spoke to (ambassadors, admissions, reps) and actually put it into writing for my essays.

About me: I grew up in Athens, Greece, and moved to the UK to pursue my bachelors in politics with economics at the University of Bath. I graduated in June 2026 and was fortunate enough to receive the Greek Friends Scholarship to join the MFA programme at London Business School.

During my undergraduate degree, I gained experience across five internships in Athens and London. In Athens, I did a summer internship at PwC in corporate finance and an investment banking internship at Alpha Bank. In London, I did my year-long placement at Bank of New York in the business strategy team, where I also studied for the CFA Level I exam. I then completed a summer internship at Barclays in the leveraged finance credit team and, in the summer prior to joining London Business School, I did an internship in M&A at Investec.

What excites me about London Business School is the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds who will become lifelong connections, and to make the most of the programme’s extracurricular opportunities. I’m happy to share my experience with prospective students and help in any way possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out!

Three topics I can be approached about: Investment banking; applications; mentoring.
