My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Learning how to market myself, since this is a skill that most universities in Mexico don’t focus on.
About me: I have always been passionate about using my knowledge to help others. I studied for my bachelors in Banking and Investments at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla in Mexico. As part of my bachelors, I studied for a semester at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2022, I spent a month in Madrid studying a specialisation in Fintech and Data Science. Afterwards, while doing an internship in wealth management, I prepared for the CFA Level I exam and passed it in November 2022.
At the end of the year, I started my first full-time position as a junior executive at Multiva Bank in Mexico. Realising I wanted a more analytical role, I moved to a Financial Analyst position, where I built financial models for fintechs and banks. Before coming to LBS, I offered talks and personalised financial advice to middle-income teachers in Mexico.
I am involved in the LatAm Club, the Women in Business Club and the Finance Club.
My career goals include being an equity research analyst or a financial analyst for a fintech.
Three topics I can be approached about: Learning how to market yourself; CFA preparation tips; application process.
