My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Preparing for the GMAT and thinking that it was the only important thing, however it is not.
About me: I come from a small town in Mexico (Colima) where financial literacy is low and opportunities scarce. Growing up, I witnessed many people lose their life savings to poor investment decisions and financial scams. This inspired my passion to help others use financial markets wisely as a tool to grow and protect their wealth.
Before LBS, I interned as an investment advisor at Santander Private Banking and as a macro research assistant for a professor at Columbia University (Dr Alain Ize). As an economist, I bring a strong macro perspective to investment analysis, while also valuing fundamental and systematic approaches. Ultimately, both in investing and in life, it is essential to keep challenging our biases and to stay open to learning – and that is why I chose LBS.
Coming to LBS is both a significant career and financial decision, so I’d be glad to support you if you have any questions.
Three topics I can be approached about: Preparing your application; funding options; finding accommodation in London.
