My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Reflecting on myself. It was an introspective challenge to understand my strengths and weaknesses and how it aligned to my future objectives.
About me: I am from Lima, Peru, where I completed my undergraduate degree in economics at Universidad del Pacífico. I also did a joint double degree in economics and finance with the University of London (LSE-directed). During my studies I participated in many student organisations, having the chance to lead different teams and engage actively in the communities that surrounded me.
Before coming to London Business School, I worked as an investment strategy analyst at a Peruvian pension fund. There, I built the tools the investment team used daily to track our funds and presented weekly insights that informed portfolio rebalancing. I liked working in this industry because informed investment decisions had a visible impact on people’s pensions, allowing them to have a better life in the future.
I decided to join London Business School for its international network, the chance to explore new career paths with the support of the Career Centre, and its collaborative community.
Outside academics, you’ll find me at an indoor cycling class, planning my next trip (28 countries so far!) or at a concert.
As a student ambassador, I’d love to help more students discover what a London Business School masters programme can offer, so reach out to me if you’d like to know more!
Three topics I can be approached about: Student life; admissions process; building community.
