  • Degree Programme: Masters in Financial Analysis

Education: Bachelors, Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), Netherlands; graduated in 2021

Interested in: Investment banking, private equity, hedge funds

My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Securing a 700+ GMAT in two months.

About me: After living for 18 years in Bucharest, Romania, I decided to pursue my higher education abroad. The generalist nature of the degree I obtained in the Netherlands developed my global understanding of all functional areas of business. I secured an internship in management consulting after my first year and, despite countless attempts during my undergraduate studies, I failed to break into investment banking. To advance my financial literacy and sharpen my technical skillset, I completed a summer school course in Italy and an exchange programme in the US where I focused on private equity and corporate finance, respectively.

After graduation, I was able to surpass my GMAT objective and complete internships at a boutique investment bank in Amsterdam and a big tech company in Luxembourg.

Currently at LBS, if I am not on campus studying, networking or submitting job applications, you can probably find me at the Fitness Centre or around Marylebone, searching for the best flat white in town. I enjoy chatting about the latest technology and challenging friends to a game of squash.

Three topics I can be approached about: Investment banking, private equity and consulting recruitment; LBS; technology and real estate.
