About me: I hold an Actuarial Science degree from the University of Nairobi. After graduating in 2015, I began my career as an actuarial consultant in the pensions space, structuring and valuing pension liabilities for different East African clients. I later transitioned to Britam Holdings, a major insurer and asset manager in the sub-Saharan region where I monitored and managed the financial, operational and compliance risks facing the organisation. I then transitioned to development finance at International Finance Corporation in Washington DC, US. I worked in structured finance and derivatives helping to finance private sector clients across industries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I decided to pursue my MBA at LBS to refine my leadership skills and grow my network beyond the finance industry. At LBS, I plan to continue pursuing my passion for finance and Africa by being heavily involved in the Finance Club and Africa Business Club.
In my free time, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, food and culture.
Three topics I can be approached for: Choosing schools; development finance; life at LBS.
