About me: I am an MBA candidate and recipient of the Professor Sir James Ball Scholarship at LBS. Originally from Reading in the UK, I completed my undergraduate degree in Chinese Studies at SOAS University of London and Beijing Normal University.
After graduating, I joined TransPerfect, beginning as a senior linguist in the life science and financial sectors, before transitioning into tech strategy as a business analyst consultant, focusing on AI, machine learning and data analytics. My specialist expertise lies in China’s technologies and industries, and I have published academic journal articles on related topics. I also serve as a trustee on two non-profit boards in the UK’s education sector, advising on strategy and the use of AI and edtech in schools.
While my background in AI and Sinology taught me to approach complex technical problems with structure and a global perspective, I wanted to deepen my strategic and financial understanding. I chose to pursue the MBA programme at LBS to complement my technical background with formal business training. LBS stood out for its inclusivity, international outlook and exceptional learning opportunities.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, travelling and staying active through running, football and hiking.
