My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Managing the uncertainty of how my non-linear background would be perceived, while learning to embrace authenticity and confidence in my uniqueness.

About me: I grew up in a rural village in Iran. I am the first in my family to study abroad, an experience that has shaped my curiosity and appreciation for different perspectives. My journey has taken me from Iran to Dubai, Scotland and Beijing. I’ve always sought opportunities to connect with people across cultures, whether co-founding a running club for newcomers in Dubai, tutoring students in Tehran, or helping facilitate dialogue on geopolitics at PeaceLab in Beijing. I’ve found energy in building communities and learning from diverse experiences.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, exploring new places and having conversations that cross cultural and disciplinary boundaries. As a student ambassador, I’m always happy to share my experiences, talk about life at LBS, or just connect with people curious about the community here.

Three topics I can be approached about: GMiM; football; luxury.
