An MBA for the next generation of luxury and retail leaders

In today’s volatile and ever changing retail landscape, the cachet of luxury goods has held fast. But modern luxury consumers demand a faultless experience, seamless across all channels, in exchange for their loyalty.

With so many brands developing digital ecosystems, technology is disrupting the sector at an unprecedented pace. The need to innovate and break new ground is intensifying. The rising trends of corporate social responsibility and online peer reviewing have upped the stakes for retailers, whose reputations can now live and die on the views of the few. The luxury sector is a tough place to get a job. You need experience in an industry where promotions from within are rife. But with determination, talent, confidence and the right contacts you’ll get from a world-class business school, you’ll be in a stronger position.

Luxury and retail in London

The greatest proportion of retail and luxury jobs are on the sales floor in customer facing roles, but the game is shifting towards areas like data analysis, ICT and logistics. Retail contributes massively towards London’s economy and influences productivity in a swathe of other sectors. The city is host to an ever-increasing number of retail entrepreneurs. At LBS, we’ve shared top talent with luxury stores and forged connections with the biggest names in luxury retail. Led by worldrenowned faculty, our MBA will equip you with the specialist knowledge, experience, and networks you need to be successful in the sector.

Connect classroom learning to business practice by completing a project for one of London's leading design firms or fashion brands

In 2014, the British Fashion Council asked LBS to undertake a study of the barriers faced by young designers.
