Irem Tuna

Professor İrem Tuna's research interests are in firm valuation, earnings quality, corporate governance, and disclosure. She has published work in a variety of leading journals in her field, including the Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, and Contemporary Accounting Research. Her scholarly contributions have established her as a respected voice in financial reporting and corporate governance research.

Professor Tuna is a dedicated educator who teaches Financial Statements Analysis for Executive Education. She has served as an editor at The Accounting Review and on the editorial boards of the Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Review, and European Accounting Review. She is on the editorial board on Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.  Upon completing her doctoral studies at University of Michigan, she worked as an assistant professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She joined London Business School in 2008 and was promoted to Professor of Accounting in 2015. She has also served as Subject Area Chair for Accounting from 2015 to 2019, and Deputy Dean of Faculty from 2019 to 2022.  She also held a visiting research scholar position at Boston College and MIT during her recent sabbatical.
