Professor Nigel Nicholson joined London Business School in 1990, and continues to teach, speak and write on his core interests: individuality, family business, leadership, evolutionary science, and the psychology of money and finance. Before becoming a business psychologist he was a journalist, and he is a frequent commentator in the media on business issues. His blogs on Linked-In have a substantial following. 

His acclaimed latest book, Unique You: How Individuality Works and Why It Matters (Hogan Press, 2026), is the first in the modern era to provide a comprehensive analysis of human UI (Unique Individuality), and its very far-reaching implications for every aspect of lives, in and out of work. He has published over 20 books and 200 articles, including articles for the Harvard Business Review, and a number of notable books: The ‘I’ of Leadership (Jossey-Bass, 2013); Family Wars, (Kogan Page, 2008); Traders: Risks, Decisions, and Management in Financial Markets (Oxford University Press, 2005), and Nicholson, N. At London Business School he has developed suites of programs for executive education, including High Performance Skills for Leaders and Proteus.  He continues to deliver the core leadership course, Biography, on the Sloan Fellowship Course. He has held the positions of Chairman of the Organisational Behaviour department, Research Dean, member of the Governing Body and been a Deputy Dean of the School. He has served a guest professor at German, American, African and Australian universities, and been honoured with awards from the Academy of Management and the International Association for Applied Psychology for his contribution to the field.
