Nick Chandler

Nick Chandler joins London Business School as a Teaching Fellow of Accounting, bringing extensive professional experience and a demonstrated passion for accounting education. He is renowned within the UK accounting community for his ability to demystify complex accounting issues and deliver training in an engaging and accessible manner.

As a Teaching Fellow, Nick delivers the Financial Accounting modules on both the Masters in Management and Masters in Analytics and Management programmes. His approach to teaching reflects his commitment to making complex material accessible and engaging for learners at all levels.

Nick's professional background includes approximately 30 years at KPMG UK, where he spent 13 years as a Partner and Head of Accounting Advisory Services. He built the firm's Accounting Advisory Services team from a single person into a high-performing practice of 120+ people, advising some of the UK's largest FTSE 100 organisations on complex accounting matters. His expertise spans IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102), and US GAAP. Nick has also appeared in court as an expert witness on accounting matters. While at KPMG Nick was seconded to the CBI for 6 months and authored “Time well spent”, an employer guide aimed at improving the quality of work experience placements.

Prior to joining London Business School, he served as Associate Professor of Accounting at Middlesex University. Beyond his professional roles, Nick volunteers with Making the Leap, a social mobility charity supporting disadvantaged young people in developing skills and securing meaningful employment.
