Frederik Kohl

Assistant Professor of Accounting

BSc MSc (Mannheim) MPhil (Cambridge)

Frederik Kohl's research examines information and measurement issues in sustainable finance and financial intermediation. His work uses empirical archival and field experimental methods to understand how accounting information and its regulation can help (or hinder) efforts to address sustainability challenges and financial stability concerns.

He joins London Business School as an Assistant Professor of Accounting following his doctoral studies in Accounting at the University of Mannheim. Through case-based teaching, he is committed to helping students develop an appreciation of the central role of accounting across a wide range of broader business applications. His academic background spans both finance and accounting, providing a strong foundation for his research and teaching at the intersection of these disciplines.

He holds an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MSc and BSc from the University of Mannheim, with visits at Columbia University in New York and McGill University in Montreal. Prior to joining London Business School, he was a visiting PhD student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business during the 2023/2024 academic year.
