Benedetta Balducci

Benedetta Balducci brings a wealth of experience to her role as an Executive Fellow of Accounting at LBS, teaching the Private Equity & Venture Capital course. First educated at Bocconi University, Milan, where she gained her BBA and MSc in International Management, Benedetta also holds an additional Masters in Corporate Management from Fudan University in Shanghai.

She has long-standing experience in private markets, across funds (primary, secondary and co-investment), direct investments and co-investments, GP stakes, business development, as well as placement activities.

Benedetta currently serves as Managing Director, Private Markets EMEA at State Street Investment Management, where she leads the Group’s efforts in identifying opportunities for Private Markets with a particular focus on the democratization of the asset class.

Previously, she has worked for some of Europe’s biggest financial services firms, leading the Private Equity business development activity at Federated Hermes GPE as Head of Portfolio and Client Solutions EMEA, having responsibility for European Private Equity and Private Credit fundraisings at Raymond James Private Advisory, and investing and co-investing globally as one of the first joiners of the Private Equity department of Generali, Europe’s third largest insurance company.

Benedetta currently sits on the Advisory Board of digital private markets platform Balentic. She is also an active speaker and panel speaker at several Private Markets and Private Equity conferences across EMEA, and her views on private markets and sector trends regularly feature in leading financial publications across the globe.
