Oliver Hauser

Affiliate Lecturer of Organisational Behaviour

Oliver Hauser is Professor at the University of Exeter Business School, Deputy Director of the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Exeter, Faculty Affiliate at Harvard University, and Senior Advisor in the Evaluation Task Force at the UK Cabinet Office. He is an expert in leadership, organisational change, artificial intelligence (AI) and data science, and he holds several advisory and board roles in the private sector, the charity sector, and in government, and he has advised and consulted for Fortune 500, FTSE 100 and other listed companies. Professor Hauser has published in the leading academic journals, including Science, Nature, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Management Science, PNAS, and Nature Human Behaviour; holds UKRI’s flagship Future Leaders Fellowship; and has received prestigious awards and prizes, including the Poets & Quants’ “40 under 40” Best MBA Professors, Pacific Standard's “30 Top Thinkers Under 30” award, UKRI Research and Innovation Impact Award, the Wharton People Analytics research competition prize, and the Harvard John Parker Award. Professor Hauser previously held academic posts at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, as well as prestigious research fellowships at the Alan Turing Institute, Behavioural Insights Team, Harvard Behavioral Insights Group and Harvard Women and Public Policy Program. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University and B.Sc. from the University of Innsbruck.
