The Spirit of ‘98 Scholarship

In 1996, we embarked on two remarkably formative years. In June 2028, our MBA1998 class will mark our 30-year journey together since graduation. From around the globe, we have embodied the spirit of ‘98 by staying connected, committed to the school, and continuously learning from one another. In our daily lives, and in our careers, we benefited from LBS teachings and gained much global understanding through our MBA1998 community. We are energised by our upcoming return to London to celebrate an extraordinary milestone, and with a gift to pay our good fortune forward. As we reflect on the friendships, careers, and life-changing experiences that began at LBS, we feel grateful and compelled to give back. The Spirit of ‘98 Gift Committee invites you to join us in creating our legacy together.

Our Vision

To give back to the school that shaped us, we are launching the Spirit of ‘98 Scholarship – a named MBA scholarship dedicated to opening the LBS door for outstanding future leaders. Our vision is to provide an opportunity to pay forward the transformative LBS experience for three candidates who embody the Spirit of '98: demonstrate academic excellence, professional promise, contribution to their class and their community, and the ability to enrich the LBS community.

Our Impact

Our goal is ambitious yet achievable: £150,000 to support three exceptional MBA students on their LBS journey. Each recipient will receive a £50,000 Spirit of '98 Scholarship. Every contribution – no matter the size – brings us closer to this target and ensures that deserving candidates will benefit from all LBS has to offer. Join classmates in making either a multi-year pledge (up to 5 years) or a one-off gift. All donations must be received by 31st July 2028 to count towards the Spirit of '98 Scholarship fund.
