School student wins MBA Star Award

London Business School student, Rajal Pitroda, scooped a prestigious prize at a ceremony for high-achieving women on Tuesday evening.

The Forte Foundation Fellow received the MBA Star Award at the Women of the Future Awards on November 20 for her work in creating an educational gaming business for young girls.

Two more of the School's MBAs received honourable mentions, with Shoshana Clark commended for her work as managing director of Afghanistan-based NGO Turquoise Mountain, while Brynne Herbert, founder and CEO of MOVE guides, made the shortlist.

The three were cheered on at the ceremony in central London by sporting legends Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and Dame Kelly Holmes, as well Dragons' Den entrepreneur James Caan and Marcus du Sautoy OBE, Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science.

Now in their seventh year, the awards recognise the outstanding business achievements of females aged 35 and under.
