London Business School presents Sustainable Globalisation

Special lectures in New Delhi and Mumbai

Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, Dean of London Business School, will lead two special lectures at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi on Tuesday 21 September and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday 23 September. 

Leading a delegation of professors from the School’s accounting, economics, finance, marketing, strategic management and organisational behaviour faculty, Sir Andrew will give the inaugural address at these two one-day conferences which will discuss the topics of Strategies for Sustainable Growth and Building Global Business Capability, respectively.

London Business School, which is ranked number one in the world for its full-time MBA programme (Financial Times 2010), was a founding partner of the Indian School of Business (ISB) located in Hyderabad and was also one of the first top business schools in the world to have a dedicated India centre (the Aditya Birla India Centre).

Commenting on his visit, Sir Andrew said, “London Business School has very special bonds with India through our faculty, staff, alumni and students. Nearly 10% of our student body and 6% of our core faculty are of Indian nationality or origin.

“Many of our faculty members are actively engaged in research and consulting with Indian companies and our alumni network in India continues to grow and actively participate in the success of the School via strong representation on our Global Advisory Council.

“This event will celebrate these connections, and also serve to strengthen them. The leaders of Indian industry, our alumni, friends of the School and our faculty will come together to explore the complexities facing both business and society as India steadily globalises.”
