London Business School (LBS) and learning partner Rolls-Royce have taken Gold at the 2024 Brandon Hall Group HMC Excellence Awards

Their joint Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) won in the category of Best Leadership Development Program; the accolade recognises excellence in the development and delivery of leadership development programmes.

SLDP unlocks the innate potential of senior leaders at Rolls-Royce, and emphasises reflection and the application of knowledge and skills acquired throughout the six-month programme. Content is adapted throughout the programme as needed to reflect a rapidly evolving business landscape and the changing needs of Rolls-Royce.

Participants are nominated based on their potential to deliver measurable value to the global civil aerospace, defence and power systems firm.

SLDP has welcomed four cohort of senior leaders to date, with a further seven cohorts expected. Already, a remarkable 94% of participants report applying programme insights within Rolls-Royce. A culture of productive enterprise has also emerged, replacing what was previously a more siloed way of operating.

James Crow, Rolls-Royce Client Director for LBS, said: “We really couldn’t be more proud of our partnership with Rolls-Royce and to have been a part of their transformation story.”

Mary Glowacka, Global Head of Learning and Leadership Development at Rolls-Royce said: “The programme is designed so that our leaders start business and leadership experiments practically from day one and see tangible results almost immediately.”

Brandon Hall Group is a professional development company that offers data, research, insights, and certification to Learning and Talent executives and organisations. Its HCM Excellence Awards was the first to recognise organisations for learning and talent and is the gold standard, known as the Academy Awards of Human Capital Management.
