LBS Corporate 100 roundtable sets agenda for collaborative leadership
Founding members join LBS faculty to explore judgment, AI and the future of organisational learning

LBS Corporate 100 held its inaugural roundtable event on 10 December, bringing together senior business and HR leaders from founding member organisations, including Deutsche Bank, VEON, WBCSD and Mitsui. This first gathering marked the launch of a series of exclusive member-led roundtable discussions, that will examine curated topic areas for C-suite leadership, HR/L&D and recruiter executives.
The first roundtable sessions featured LBS faculty members sharing insights from their respective fields of expertise. Professor of Management Practice, Sir Andrew Likierman opened proceedings with a candid examination of judgement, highlighting the reputational risks that stem from biased decision-making and the exponential influence of generative AI on executive judgement.
Participants also enjoyed an engaging ‘Fireside Conversation’ session with Dr Martin Moehrle, Director of Corporate Services at EFMD, exploring the topic: hi-tech vs high touch, what takes precedence and when?
Following lunch, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Michael G Jacobides delivered a captivating exploration of artificial intelligence and AI agents, illustrating their strategic implications through a series of scenario-based examples. The question of the day being asked - how will AI converge with HR?
Closing the day, Professor of Management Practice in Organisational Behaviour Lynda Gratton addressed the evolving relationship between AI and human learning. She challenged participants to consider whether “ease and noise are drowning out calm,” and contrasted the capabilities of chatbots and humans in demonstrating empathy. While AI can mimic cognitive and emotional empathy, she noted the willingness to act out of genuine care remains uniquely human.
Helen Kerkentzes, Associate Dean of Executive Education said, “The success of the inaugural LBS Corporate 100 roundtable reinforces our ambition to bring business leaders together with LBS faculty, to address the fundamental issues shaping business and the wider society. By uniting members with world-class thinking, we aim to create a powerful platform for leadership and learning that drives meaningful change.”
LBS Corporate 100 is a cross-sector community of brands, institutions, SMEs and organisations from the third sector, united by a commitment to confront the challenges shaping the future of business. Founding members include some of the world’s most progressive and innovative companies, with many more expected to join in 2026.
