Dr Linda Yueh appointed to English Law Promotion Panel
Dr Linda Yueh joins a new government panel to strengthen the UK’s global legal leadership

Dr Linda Yueh, Adjunct Professor of Economics at London Business School, has been appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Lord Chancellor to the newly established English Law Promotion Panel, an expert group tasked with strengthening the UK’s position as a leading global centre for legal services.
The panel, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, met for the first time on 8 December and brings together senior figures from law, business, academia and public life. It forms part of the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy, with a mandate to support a sector generating £42.6bn annually and underpinning a significant share of global trade, investment and dispute resolution.
Dr Yueh’s appointment reflects her distinctive cross-disciplinary expertise spanning law, economics and public policy. She holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, in addition to degrees from Yale University, Harvard University and the University of Oxford. Her work has consistently bridged academic research, public engagement and policy development, including extensive contributions to broadcasting and advisory roles in the UK and internationally.
The English Law Promotion Panel will develop a strategy to promote English law worldwide, reinforcing its status as the jurisdiction of choice for international business and dispute resolution at a time of increasing global competition.
The London Business School community warmly congratulates Dr Yueh on her appointment and recognises this as an important contribution to national policy and the global promotion of the rule of law.
