Business snaps up London Business School graduates
93% offered employment within three months of graduation
Ninety-three per cent of the 2015 MBA graduates from London Business School accepted job offers within three months of graduation and 27 started their own businesses, according to the latest employment figures from the School.
The School’s MBA Employment Report, published today, reflects another strong year for its MBA graduates who have secured full-time employment.
Of the 93% who accepted job offers within three months of graduating, just over a quarter (27%) of those went into finance and a third (33%) took up consulting sector roles. Two fifths (40%) accepted roles outside of these sectors. This included a fifth (20%) of graduates joining the technology sector. Amazon alone recruited 16 graduates from the School this year, while Microsoft recruited eight.
“Our MBA equips students to work anywhere in the world, in a wide-range of industries, as proven by the success of graduates who have gone on to secure global careers in industries ranging from finance and consulting to technology, healthcare, retail and media”, said Lara Berkowitz, Executive Director, Career Centre, London Business School.
MBA 2015 graduates from the School are now working in 37 countries around the world. The employment figures show a growing number of students accepting job offers in Asia. Asia (13%) and Europe (13%), excluding the UK, are the joint most popular destinations for graduates after the UK (52%).
“Asia as a graduate destination is growing in popularity. This year we hosted the third annual, joint European business schools, Asia Careers Fair at London Business School, inviting employers across all sectors to give our students a real insight into the Asian market.”
The School also saw 99% of 2015 graduates secure internships over the summer months.
The School’s MBA sits firmly among the top players in the world, currently ranked number two globally by the Financial Times. In 2015 the School was ranked number one in Europe for the second year running by the Financial Times, in its annual European business schools ranking.
