Pre-programme tasks to help your transition from working life into a study environment.

Early Enrolment Fair
13 December 2019

The Early Enrolment Fair will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Complete the formal registration process
  • Collect letters, textbooks and ID card
  • Take a tour of the LBS campus
  • Receive help with IT and Canvas
  • Meet your Sloan 2020 classmates and Sloan Porgramme Office team.



Orientation Week
6 – 10 January 2020  

Orientation begins with briefing sessions and introductions. The Executive Leadership core course challenges you to work closely within a study group to enhance your understanding of group dynamics and your role as both a leader, and team member. A team building activity will be built into schedule.

TERM 1: Spring Term
13 January - 18 March 2020

At the start of Term 1, you begin the process of selecting elective courses from the LBS elective portfolio. During Term 1, you will also be taught the following core courses, under the following themes:

    Leading the Market Driven Organisation
  • Business Fundamentals:
    Accounting Part 1
  • Leadership:
    Executive Leadership (during Orientation Week)
    Leading People and Organisations 

Career and Personal Development

Classes are typically scheduled between 08:15 and 18:45 during the week. There are usually six sessions per week, each lasting 2 hours 45 mins. Term 1 is very busy, and you also need to set aside plenty of time for skills sessions, private study, study group meetings, careers events, guest speaker and club events.

TERM 2: Summer Term
30 March – 12 June 2020

Elective Block Week
4 – 8 May, 15 – 19 June and 22 - 26 June 2020

The Summer Term is a combination of core courses and electives. The following core courses are taught under the following themes:

Capstone is the finalé of your Sloan Programme and the last time that you will be altogether as a class before Congregation in July 2021. The theme of Capstone is celebration and reflection.

Exam Board
February / March 2021

The Board of Examiners meet to review the academic performance of all students and to validate and approve the award of your degree.

July 2021

Following your Congregation ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall, celebrate your success on the Sloan programme with a glass of champagne at the garden party on the front lawn at LBS.
