Shihan Li

Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour

MSc (LSE) MSc BSc (Peking University) PhD (Carnegie Mellon)

Dr Shihan Li's research examines social networks in organisations, with a focus on the microfoundations of network dynamics—including individual, structural, and social perceptual antecedents, mechanisms, and outcomes related to socialisation, career progression, and performance. Her work also investigates network-based inequality, particularly gender disparities in network signalling and resource access and mobilisation, as well as the role of networks as drivers of innovation and creativity.

Dr Li joins London Business School as an Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour from Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. Her research combines rigorous empirical investigation with theoretical insight to advance understanding of organisational dynamics and individual outcomes within networked contexts.

Dr Li serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Organization Science, Management Science, Social Networks, and Academy of Management Discoveries. She is a symposium organiser for the Academy of Management Annual Meetings (2023–2026).
