Philippe Blaettchen

Dr Philippe Blaettchen is visiting London Business School as Visiting Assistant Professor of Management Science and Operations from Bayes Business School, City, University of London, where he holds the position of Assistant Professor in Management Analytics.
After gaining an MSc and BSc from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, Dr Blaettchen moved to France to complete his PhD at INSEAD. His research explores how innovative technologies, like IoT, blockchain and AI, can enhance value chain efficiency and sustainability. In particular, his focus is on the ways technologies improve coordination within and across firms in a value chain, and how human behaviour can create barriers to their adoption.
A leading academic in his field, Dr Blaettchen’s research has appeared in influential publications including Operations Research, Management Science, and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management.
