My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Information asymmetry—not knowing what business schools were like until I reached out to LBS students.
About me: I was born and raised in China and moved to the UK at 14 for my studies. Since then, the UK has become a second home, where I fell in love with the culture and picturesque landscape. During my undergraduate studies of economics at LSE, I explored a variety of career options, from private equity to quantitative trading. These experiences helped shape my interest in blending analytical thinking with real-world impact.
At LBS, I am constantly inspired by the diverse and driven student body, creating an environment where personal and professional growth flourish. I’m surrounded by individuals with clear career goals, pushing me to refine my aspirations and learn from others. Critical information flows rapidly through both formal club activities and informal conversations, accelerating learning and self-improvement.
What truly excites me is the supportive network—everyone here is eager to share insights, make introductions, and offer guidance, driving not just individual success, but collective progress. This dynamic exchange fosters a unique atmosphere that is shaping me into a more well-rounded, adaptable professional.
Outside of academics, I’m passionate about volunteering and co-founded a mentorship scheme that provided complimentary consulting services on university applications, successfully helping over 20 students secure placements at top universities. In my free time, I love listening to K-pop and experimenting with different makeup products. You’ll also find me exploring new restaurants in London and hiking on weekends. If you’re keen to chat about the latest K-pop trends, makeup tips, or need restaurant recommendations in the city, feel free to reach out!
Three topics I can be approached about: LBS applications; career; life at LBS and in London.
