Tracy Du (she/her)

Education: Bachelors, Renmin University, China; graduated in 2024

Subject: Applied Economics and Data Science

Sector(s) of interest: Consulting, Technology, Diversified Sectors

My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Recovering from failed internship applications and starting again as a resilient masters applicant.

About me: I’ve always been intrigued by different cultures. Growing up in China, I was fortunate to experience diverse perspectives early on. This curiosity was further fuelled when I had the chance to participate in a student exchange programme in Canada and Hong Kong. These experiences have made me appreciate the value of understanding different cultures and communication styles.

Before joining LBS, I completed internships at different management consulting companies and corporates and pursued a double degree in Applied Economics and Data Science at Renmin University in China.

I decided to pursue a global masters degree that would help me transition into a global business environment, with one year in London and another in Shanghai. The LBS Global Masters in Management programme stood out to me for its rigorous curriculum and focus on developing early-career professionals for leadership roles in global businesses. The programme’s emphasis on core business areas perfectly aligned with my ambition to enter the management consulting sector. The global exposure, world-class faculty and diverse cohort at LBS provide the ideal platform for me to grow professionally and personally as I work towards my goal of becoming a consultant who can help companies navigate the complexities of today’s global market.

Three topics I can be approached for: Student life; Career Centre; cross-cultural integration.
