My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Deciding at what point I should actually go for a masters (right after my undergraduate studies or after some years of work experience).
About me: Having lived my entire life in Pakistan, I thought my career goals were quite set: I’d become a paleontologist and would spend my days going from one remote formation to the next in search of new fossils. Well, our roads in life are seldom straight. I went to business school, graduating with a bachelors in Management Science from LUMS in 2023. I had experienced an academic taste of most sectors of business and my degree was quite generalised. So, for my masters, I veered towards a more specialised, rigorous programme with real-world applicability and a focus on data analysis, which is what brought me to LBS.
