My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Balancing my hobbies and university commitments, while submitting an application that showcased my values and career aspirations.
About me: My academic journey prior to LBS has been quite a unique one as, before venturing into finance, I studied biomedical sciences at UCL. I have also had the privilege of gaining experience in investment banking at firms such as PJT Partners and J. P. Morgan, further developing my curiosity in the sector. Outside of this, I chaired UCL’s Economics and Finance Society, organising its first women-exclusive event to pave the way for greater female inclusion.
As someone with a STEM background keen on entering the financial industry, advocating for the inclusion of diverse backgrounds has always been at the forefront in my personal and professional life. Therefore, coming to LBS was a breath of fresh air, being surrounded by individuals who had undergone their own unique journey.
As I begin at LBS, my focus is less on how I fit in, but rather how I can stand out, bring my distinct perspective and fully embrace what I believe will be a truly enriching experience.
As a fun fact, I am also a former international tennis player.
Three topics I can be approached about: Time management; applying to investment banking and finance roles; professional development (especially for women) and creating gender equity in the workplace.
