My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Trying to find a programme that was the right fit for me. The dilemma I faced was between choosing to wait a few years to do the MBA versus the Masters in Management programme immediately. I ultimately chose the latter because I wanted to fast track my career switch from tech.

About me: I worked at BlackRock for over a year in the Aladdin product group after completing my degree in Computer Science Engineering. While I enjoyed the critical thinking and problem-solving aspects of computer science, I came to the realisation that core tech is not where my interest lies. I wanted to broaden my scope, learn how to analyse industry trends and think in terms of the big picture. As a result, consulting seemed like the best fit for me.

I joined LBS to fast-track this career switch. I’m passionate about DEI work, social impact and sustainability and have undertaken several projects, specifically in the education sector. I volunteered in Vietnam for two months in partnership with the UN to contribute towards their sustainable development goals. Additionally, I volunteered at Teach for India for over six months. I was nominated for the Heart of BlackRock award within my first six months, an award that recognises individuals who best embody BlackRock’s culture holistically and demonstrate inclusive behaviours.

A fun fact about me is that I’m a PADI certified scuba diver.

Three topics I can be approached about: Career switch from tech to consulting; moving to London; Out in Business Club.
