About me: Shannon graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, focusing on finance and international management. After graduation, she worked in Corporate FP&A for Arconic (previously called Alcoa). In 2018, Shannon moved to Seattle, Washington, to work in corporate FP&A for Expedia in their media advertising division. She was responsible for expense management, sales compensation processes and executive reporting.
As a way to advance her career in corporate finance and develop the necessary soft skills to manage, Shannon decided to pursue an MBA. She chose LBS for the diversity within the student body, the tight-knit community feel and the flexible programme offerings. As Shannon’s career goal is to work abroad after graduation, LBS provides the tools and network to be equipped to handle cultural and regulatory differences. The diverse student body has been welcoming and made London quickly feel like home.
In her free time, Shannon travels around Europe with her classmates, watches Formula 1 and explores London.
Three topics I can be approached about: Selecting LBS as an American; technology; Women in Business Club.
