About me: Prior to London Business School, Ria was a senior associate at GEP North America, where she worked in operations consulting, primarily in the fast-food industry. Outside of client responsibilities, she was a recruitment lead for her alma mater, University of Chicago – a great excuse for her to frequently visit campus, her first home away from home (Mumbai, India).
While at the University of Chicago, Ria majored in Economics and minored in Visual Arts. She also explored Computer Science and Mathematics. Given her diverse interests, she interned at Microsoft, followed by Siris Capital (private equity) and eventually ended up in consulting to continue the exploration.
During her MBA at LBS, Ria hopes to transition into the luxury industry. She is currently Junior Vice President of Careers at the Retail & Luxury Goods Club as well as a member of the Vibrant Feet (where she hopes to learn salsa!) and Foodie Club (where she hopes to identify her go-to restaurants in her new home).
Three topics I can be approached about: The consulting debate (to leave, to stay or to join); interest in retail and luxury; London food (especially if you have recommendations!)
