About me: Renée grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in a Dutch and Canadian family. Passionate about bridging a career in healthcare and technology, she studied Biomedical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. After graduating, she pursued a career in healthcare technology consulting in PwC’s advisory group in San Francisco, California. At PwC, Renée specialised in digital product management in healthcare and cell/gene therapy while spending her free time volunteering and doing impact consulting for organisations addressing underprivileged youth healthcare and education.
Renée decided to pursue an MBA at LBS to complement her engineering education with the business skills needed to lead organisations. She plans to transition from consulting into health tech product management and venture capital and seeks to learn from her classmates how global health issues are being addressed across the world. Renée was drawn to LBS for its sharp, diverse community and access to high-impact opportunities and network through its vibrant London hub. At LBS, Renée is on the Executive Committees for the Healthcare Club and Running Club as well as an active member of the Technology & Media, Entrepreneurship, Women’s Touch Rugby, Women in Business and Foodie clubs. She is also incredibly passionate about addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
