My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Having a short- to medium-term career plan.

About me: Having grown up across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) (living in all six countries), I completed my undergraduate degree from LSE in 2022. My prior professional experiences include asset management at Qatar Insurance Company and investment banking (with a focus on the TMT industry group) at BNP Paribas, London. My highlights from these internships were the exposure to senior management, both within the banks themselves as well as with their clients, and the contrasts between Middle Eastern and European markets.

I decided to pursue the Masters in Financial Analysis at LBS to fully leverage my prior theoretical knowledge and combine it with applicable and real-life skills. I have enjoyed becoming part of the LBS community, making the most of world-class facilities and a strong alumni network. Interacting with the incredibly diverse cohort and joining the men’s football team has given me ample social outlets, making sure that my LBS experience is not just limited to the classroom. Furthermore, the ongoing stream of employer events has given me countless opportunities to meet with bankers and find out what I enjoy within the industry, helping shape my professional future.

Three topics I can be approached about: Moving to London; applying to investment banking; student social life.
