My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Finding the programme and institution that suited my unique personal, professional and life goals.
About me: I was raised in Hong Kong but moved to the US at the age of 14 for high school before continuing at New York University, majoring in East Asian Studies. My degree led me to job opportunities in advisory firms, specialising in issues around US–China geopolitical risk and analysing its effects on tech, investment, trade and cultural exchanges. This piqued my interest in learning more about business.
I found LBS’s Global Masters in Management programme to be the ideal fit for me, particularly given my passion for Chinese business and culture. Through this degree, I hope to gain an understanding of global business practices, opportunities and challenges, paving the way for a future career as a consultant focused on global strategy and risk.
Outside of study and work, I love to cook at home and play golf with friends and I’ve recently begun learning photography.
Fun fact: I’m also a licensed pilot in the US, having attained my license when I was 18 years old!
Three topics I can be approached for: Why I chose the Global Masters in Management programme; transitioning from humanities to business school; moving and living abroad in the UK.
