My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Trying to connect with students and alumni from Macao as it is rare for Macanese to apply to business schools.
About me: I’m from Macao, a vibrant city known for its blend of Chinese and Portuguese cultures. I completed my undergraduate studies in Medical Physics at University College London (UCL), where I served as Vice President of both the Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Society and the UCL Tharsos Group.
My career goal is to break into investment banking, specifically focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising in sectors like renewable energy, healthcare technology.
As a Student Ambassador, I hope to inspire students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from non-business fields like me, to pursue studies at LBS. I’m also passionate about raising awareness of LBS in the Greater Bay Area of China and building a strong network that connects future talent from the region with the LBS community.
Three topics I can be approached for: Applying to LBS from a non-business background (STEM); transitioning from STEM to Finance; crosscultural leadership.
