My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: GMAT.
About me: Born and raised in Stockholm, I moved to London to pursue a BSc in Psychology at UCL. Living in London was a great experience where I realised how valuable it was for me to live in such a dynamic and international city. During my psychology studies, I became particularly intrigued by the hardwired connections between psychology, strategical thinking and organisational behaviour.
By studying managerial finance at LSE alongside my degree, I acquired theoretical knowledge in the financial sector that I subsequently put into practice during an internship in M&A. Although these experiences gave me valuable insights into financial markets and corporate structures, I still felt that I lacked the particular business acumen that would help me grow professionally. In order to gain a comprehensive foundation in management and, at the same time, be surrounded by a truly international, motivated and supportive community, I decided to apply for the Masters in Management at LBS. I was particularly drawn to LBS as it gave me the impression of being a school that would make me grow personally and professionally.
So far, my LBS experience has gone above and beyond my expectations. I already feel that LBS has provided me with key tools to help me reach my career goals in consulting and, most importantly, has allowed me to be in a dynamic, exciting and supportive community!
Three topics I can be approached about: Applying to LBS with a non-business bachelors; moving to London; choosing a programme.
