About me: Fiere is an MBA Candidate and Laidlaw Scholar at London Business School. Though of Eritrean heritage, Fiere was born and raised in North London. Fiere earned an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham and, following graduation, joined KPMG as an actuarial consultant before becoming an assistant manager. She has worked with a range of companies – from FTSE 100 to mid-sized and small companies – providing ongoing actuarial services and working on large-scale risk management exercises.

During Fiere’s time at KPMG, her department underwent a strategic review which resulted in its sale to a private equity company. The insight she gained during her time as an employee representative during the sale and her role on the employee advisory group at the new company, Isio, increased Fiere’s interest in business strategy and corporate transactions. She chose to study at London Business School due to the School’s London location, unmatched international diversity of the class, and extensive choice of professional and social clubs.

Fiere is passionate about diversity and social mobility. She enjoys travelling, baking and running. In addition to her role as a student ambassador, she is an Executive Committee member of the Black in Business Club and the Women in Business Club.
