Education: MSc Industrial Engineering
Finance sector: Industrial production
Previous or current role: Production Manager, Lindt & Sprüngli
About me: During his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Dennis worked as a management consultant in the field of lean management in the industrial production sector. During his work as a consultant, he gained experience in the areas of productivity increase, cost reduction, digitalisation, Industry 4.0 and the use of artificial intelligence in production companies. After several years of professional experience as a consultant, Dennis moved to the automotive manufacturer Audi and worked there as a technical associate in the area of quality assurance to increase efficiency in the in-house battery production in the field of electromobility. He accompanied the start-up of production up to series production and was responsible for increasing productivity while complying with the specific requirements of electromobility. Afterwards, he switched production sectors and started at Lindt & Sprüngli as a production manager, where he still works today. There, in addition to the daily process of product creation in manufacturing, he is responsible for projects in the area of digitalisation and Industry 4.0 to increase productivity.
In addition to his professional activities, Dennis was involved as chairman of the student council at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen and also volunteered on other committees. To this day, he is the chairman of a sports club that focuses on organising sporting events for charity in order to raise funds for children's charities. As part of his continuous progress, Dennis decided to expand his academic background and started the Masters in Finance part time at London Business School to strategically expand and improve his knowledge and skills in finance. Finance, costs, revenues, ratios, etc. are concepts that surround us every day, regardless of the industry or products, and form an important part of successful daily work and profitable business models. The more profound the knowledge in the field of finance, the more practicable the elements of finance can be applied and the more profitable one's own company is. For this reason, the Masters in Finance at London Business School plays a fundamental role in his further professional and personal development.
