My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Balancing GMAT practice and applications with the job I had at the time.

About me: Having grown up in southern Germany, I decided to go abroad for my undergraduate degree and studied Business & History at Newcastle University. While my course was more focused on general management and did not include many quantitative topics, I was introduced to the financial services industry by internships at a hedge fund and a real estate investor.

After graduation, I pivoted my focus and worked at investment banks and a private equity firm back in Germany. Keen on starting my career in this field, studying a masters degree to equip myself with the necessary skills was the logical next step. I soon identified LBS as the ideal school for me: its great student community and the excellent quality of its courses, alongside its location in Europe’s financial hub, make it stand out. So far, my experience has been amazing!

Apart from being passionate about finance, I love travelling and doing outdoor activities like climbing and canoeing. I am also a guitar player and a big music fan.

Three topics I can be approached about: Applying to LBS; life at LBS; investment banking.
