About me: Half Italian, half Turkish, Asya was born in Subiaco, Rome, and grew up in Istanbul. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Middle East Studies at Brown University in the US, where she nurtured her passion for public health and development.

After her studies, Asya worked as a healthcare researcher at the Advisory Board in Washington, DC and consultant at Optum in London. She has worked primarily with healthcare providers, policymakers and commissioners both in private healthcare systems in the US, Australia and Canada and the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.

Asya decided to pursue an MBA at LBS to develop fundamental business skills and build a healthcare network. She aims to explore the medical technology, medical device and pharmaceutical industries with a focus on finding roles that support the spread and scale of equitable medicine and services.

Asya has always been committed to healthcare equity, as well as gender and migration rights. Asya also enjoys watching Formula 1, going to see independent movies and listening to funky music.
