Jesus Nieto Martin

Dr Jesus Nieto Martin undertakes research related to modelling evolutionary systems under uncertainty. His recent work focuses on designing processes to evaluate and accelerate the digitalisation of the Power sector using distributed technologies such as blockchain.


In his industry collaborations, Dr Nieto Martin has contributed modelling and evaluating long-term investment portfolios for electrical transportation, city planning, as well as retailing.


Other areas of research include modelling complexity using Bayesian Networks and online algorithmic decision-making. Dr Nieto-Martin was previously a Senior Research Fellow in the Infrastructure Systems Group at Cranfield School of Management and Visiting Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the US.
