Elinor Flynn
Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour
BA (Princeton) MA (Irvine) PhD (New York)
Dr. Elinor Flynn's research examines the consequences of diversity initiatives and contributors to inequality in organisations, with a particular focus on gender. She also studies how employees make career decisions, and their implications for work-life dynamics, wellbeing, and gender equality. Her research addresses critical questions about how organisations can create more equitable workplaces and support employees in managing competing demands between their professional and personal lives. Her research has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Academy of Management Journal.
Dr. Flynn joins London Business School from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where she was a post-doctoral scholar. Her academic background provides her with a strong foundation for understanding both the psychological and organisational dimensions of workplace behaviour and diversity.
Dr. Flynn began her academic career with a BA in English from Princeton University, followed by an MA in Psychology and Social Behaviour at University of California, Irvine, before obtaining her PhD in Management (Organisational Behaviour) from the Stern School of Business at New York University. This interdisciplinary background, spanning literature, psychology, and management, informs her comprehensive approach to studying organisational behaviour and workplace dynamics.
