How to tell good advice from bad

Selin Kesebir article picture

Forbes has published an article by Selin Kesebir, Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School, in which she offers insights into the best way to tell good advice from bad.

An expert in executive leadership and negotiations, Dr. Kesebir believes that leaders need to apply a critical filter to leadership advice. In her article, she suggests that leaders pose three fundamental questions to discover if the advice they are being offered will help or hinder their progress: ‘Would this advice work in my specific case?’; ‘Is this good advice given who I am?’; and ‘Is this where I should be focusing my attention?’.
