About me: I’m a social impact enthusiast with over seven years’ experience managing non-profit programmes in mental health, education and agriculture across 15+ countries. My career began with AmeriCorps NCCC, where I learned the importance of living within the communities you serve – an experience that continues to shape my approach to development work.
Before moving to LBS, I lived in Sierra Leone, where I worked alongside the Ministry of Health and leading psychiatrists from around the world to pioneer the nation’s flagship Psychiatry Residency. One of my proudest professional moments was congratulating (and hugging!) the country’s first locally trained psychiatrist, paving the way for future generations.
Although I’m stepping away from the non-profit sector (for now), I see this transition as deepening my involvement in social impact rather than a departure from it. At LBS, I’m eager to explore how business can – and should – be leveraged to re-imagine broken systems and drive meaningful, lasting change.
In my free time, you’ll find me wandering through food markets or experimenting in my kitchen. As a Zanzibari-Croatian raised in the US by parents who met and married in China, I deeply value diverse cultures and I can’t wait to experience (and taste) all that London has to offer.
Three topics I can be approached about: Career transition; diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI); social impact.
