About me: Alisha holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating from UPenn in 2018, Alisha started her career at Vanguard – one of the largest global asset managers. At Vanguard, Alisha was a credit research associate covering investment grade and high yield energy and transportation companies. Prior to LBS, Alisha worked as an associate in private equity at Wafra, a New York-based fund that primarily manages the assets for the pension of Kuwait.

After discovering her entrepreneurship and management interests in her investing career, Alisha decided to apply for her MBA at LBS to pursue her career path in entrepreneurship and build out her startup idea in edtech and fintech. Alisha is interested in utilising LBS’ entrepreneurship ecosystem, including IEPC, Entrepreneurship Summer School and LBS Launchpad, to help start up her business.

In her free time, Alisha enjoys cooking, travelling and singing. She also speaks Bangla, English and Italian fluently and is re-learning Spanish. Alisha is passionate about increasing financial literacy and independence for marginalised groups and hopes to focus her startup in this space.
