Savour the arrival of your new child. Staff members with one or more years’ service have a statutory entitlement of up to 18 weeks unpaid parental leave for each child born or adopted until the child’s 18th birthday. This applies to mothers, fathers, and adoptive parents. All policies available on request.
We offer enhanced maternity pay and two weeks full paternity pay. Most mothers/adopters are entitled to 18 weeks of full pay followed by 21 weeks of statutory pay.

The School provides a death-in-service lump sum payment. For staff at Levels 1 & 2 this is a multiple of x4 your basic annual salary. For staff at Levels 3 to 6, and faculty, who are not members of the USS pension scheme, this is x3 your basic annual salary. If you are a member of USS you are covered by their separate provisions for a lump sum payment of x3 basic annual salary, governed by their scheme rules.
