The Better Marketing for a Better World Initiative aims to build a community and support the development of knowledge on how marketing can improve lives, strengthen societies and benefit the world at large.

We have collaborated with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office to develop a research programme on drivers of scale among digital companies in Africa. Company scale is often deemed a yardstick of success by operators, investors and policymakers however, it is difficult to define and challenging to measure – particularly in the context of Africa.

We have collaborated with Dharma Life, a social enterprise in rural India founded by LBS alum Gaurav Mehta to create DL Labs. We have initiated several new research initiatives through DL Labs, with a particular focus on gender empowerment and entrepreneurship activities.
