My greatest challenge when I applied to business school was: Standing out as I already had a business background; taking the GRE during my last year of undergraduate study.

About me: I was born and raised in Cambodia but since I was young, I’ve had the opportunity to experience living abroad. I moved to Singapore at the age of 15 years old to finish high school and then moved to London for my undergraduate studies at King’s College London. My degree in Business Management has provided me with flexibility when choosing modules according to my interest – I have opted mostly for marketing and operations related modules.

To apply my theoretical knowledge, I completed a three-month rotational internship specialising in high-tech lubricant at Motul’s Asia headquarters, which is based in Singapore, as well as a marketing internship in TOS TOV, a Cambodian-based ride-hailing transport service company.

After having confirmed my career in the business field, LBS is the best option to further develop my studies and skills. As a Global Masters in Management student, I will be spending my second year in Shanghai, which will enable me to contrast and understand the differences between business conducts in Europe and Asia. Moreover, true to what it is known for, LBS provides a never-ending stream of social and professional events, enabling me to build friendships and network with a diverse group of very motivated individuals.

Three topics I can be approached about: Application process; Masters in Management versus Global Masters in Management; interview preparation.
